How to resolve "Invalid Credentials" error when integrating Rent Manager with Propexo
Last updated: January 2, 2025
If you're encountering an "Invalid Credentials" error when trying to enable the Rent Manager integration in your Propexo account, despite having a valid Partner Token, the issue may be related to IP address authorization. Follow these steps to resolve the problem:
Steps to Resolve
Obtain your Propexo dedicated IP address:
Log in to your Propexo account
Navigate to the account settings page
Look for the "Provisioned IP Addresses" section
Note down the dedicated IP address displayed
Provision the IP address in Rent Manager:
Log in to your Rent Manager account
Navigate to the API or integration settings
Find the option to add or authorize IP addresses
Add the dedicated IP address you obtained from Propexo
Retry the integration:
Return to your Propexo account
Attempt to enable the Rent Manager integration again
Additional Information
The error "Authentication Failed - You are not authorized to access from your IP address" indicates that while your Partner Token is valid, the IP address from which the request is originating (Propexo's servers) is not authorized to access the Rent Manager API.
By provisioning the Propexo dedicated IP address in your Rent Manager settings, you're explicitly allowing Propexo to make API calls on your behalf, resolving the "Invalid Credentials" error.
Troubleshooting
If you continue to experience issues after following these steps:
Double-check that you've entered the correct Partner Token in Propexo
Verify that your Rent Manager entity URL is correct (e.g., https://yourentity.api.rentmanager.com/)
Ensure that the IP address has been correctly added and saved in Rent Manager
Contact Rent Manager support to confirm that the IP address has been successfully authorized on their end
If the problem persists, please reach out to Propexo support for further assistance.
